ITSRIGHT HAS SIGNED A DIRECT AGREEMENT WITH MEDIASET GROUP FOR TV AND RADIO

ITSRIGHT has signed an agreement with Mediaset Group which introduces an innovatine direct model to license radio stations, tv channels and some online services to include recorded music as part of their programming. All RTI television channels (over 15, including Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4) and Radiomediaset Group’s  national radios (Montecarlo, Radio 105, Virgin Radio, Radio 101, Subasio), will include recorded music in their bradcasts with  direct ITSRIGHT’s analytical licenses.
Contacts and similar negotiations are ongoing with all the main national radio and TV broadcasters, with web radios and music service providers to license directly our performers and producers’ repertoires for all music uses starting from 2020, removing the intermediation of producers’ collective management organisation.
Now that the music market is severely impacted by the global Coronavirus pandemic, ITSRIGHT is committed to playing its part in supporting performers, recording rightsholders and the music sector.
In addition to the initiatives put in place for all mandates in April, ITSRIGHT looks to the future well aware that only innovative business models can support the market recovery. Since last year ITSRIGHT started negotiating directly with music users promoting performers and producers’ repertoire to better meet the needs of those who make music and those who use it. All in line with the new laws that allow performers and their CMO to collect compensation for neighbouring rights directly.
ITSRIGHT thus can offer support, increasingly efficient and competitive services to Italian and international performers and producers, ensuring faster times for collections, reduction and more compensations to distribute.
