Amadeus, an appeal against the classic music newspaper’s closure
Amadeus, among the leading serious music newspapers, risks the closure. After 25 years of activity, 285 publications, 105 monographs, more than 500 CDs, thousands of articles signed by eminent academics, musicologists and journalists, today the most distinguished magazine dedicated to the classical music’s world risks to close down because of the dramatic crisis of the Italian publishing industry.
To save Amadeus, an appeal has already been joined by many Italian Culture’s leading influentials and artists.Among them: Claudio Abbado, Salvatore Accardo, Riccardo Chailly, Daniele Gatti, Riccardo Muti, Gianandrea Noseda, Renzo Piano, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Maurizio Pollini, Franco Zeffirelli, Uto Ughi, and many others.
