COVID-19 EMERGENCY, ITALIAN GOVERNMENT’S NEW MEASURES FOR PERFORMERS

There are also performers among the categories that will benefit from funds from the 'Decree Law Ristori’, issued to support the workers and companies involved in the closures defined by the Italian Governmet last week to contain the flare-up of the Covid-19 emergency.
The Government has introduced two different measures. An sum of € 1.000 is provided for entertainment workers enrolled in the pension fund dedicated to them (Ex Enpals) who have paid at least 30 daily contributions in 2019 from which an income of no more than 50.000 euros or at least 7 daily contributions must be derived, from which an income of more than 35,000 euros must not be derived. The request must be submitted to INPS by 30 November 2020.
Furthermore, workers with a VAT number are entitled to a non-repayable contribution if they carry out the main activities provided for by the Ateco Codes indicated in the decree, such as, among others, 90.01.09 “Other artistic representations”.
