COVID-19 ITALIAN GOVERNMENT’S MEASURES: NEW COMPENSATIONS FROM IMAIE’S LIQUIDATION.

Among its measures, The Italian Decree Law “Rilancio” accelerated the IMAIE’s liquidation, addresing new economic resources in favor of performers. The Decree provides that, after 60 days from its publication, the liquidating commissioners deposit the final liquidation balance sheet and pay the surplus to MIBACT.
The sums, estimated at € 50 million, will be distributed to performers with criteria established by a new MIBACT’s decree, taking into account the state of need of the beneficiaries, caused by the Covid-19 emergency.
The decree law does not affect the compensation already due to ITSRIGHT mandators, which have long been claimed and not yet paid by IMAIE's liquidators.
